Bonnin’s plastic research translates landscape elements into symbols and shapes, creating a visual narrative. The artist’s experimentation with the work, involving pressing, water, and ink, resulted in a map-like layout on the canvas. The accidental formation of rivers and topography through the interaction of water and canvas contributed to the creation of this unique piece. The artwork symbolizes the tools of travelers exploring new lands and worlds and portrays the artist’s fascination with cartography, memory, and imagination.
